Handmade from natural toquilla straw by skilled Ecuadorian artisans. Lightweight, breathable and timeless.
- 16th c.The weaving tradition begins. Today it is a UNESCO-protected art form.
- 1800sEcuadorian weavers export through the trade hub of Panama, and the nickname sticks.
- 1906Theodore Roosevelt is photographed wearing one at the Panama Canal.

Regular fit: 58–60 cm (22.8″–23.6″). Bigger sizes available on request. Rests naturally just above the ears, with a soft inner sweatband. Compatible with hat-size reducer tape.
